If you're a Famicom
gamer or collector anywhere in the world who
regularly buys imported video games and gear, then
you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
For months I
scavenged my country's eBay for that one
hard-to-find Famicom title I really, really
wanted -- with no luck.
But then some luck!
I got clever and checked foreign eBay sites. And
for some reason that hard-to-find Japanese game
could only be found in the hands of a seller in
France, who was asking a pretty penny...but at least
I'd finally found it. I made the purchase.
And, of course, anticipation builds.
I paid over a week ago, and
I know that the Frenchman stuck the cheapest
shipping on the envelope and let it roll, then
float, and roll some more.
Two weeks...and
nothing. Every single day I wait; I watch as the
postman pulls up, stocks my box, then leaves.

And then it
happens...

Yes! A foreign
package! But what could be inside!? Is it that hard
to find Japanese game I've been waiting for over two
weeks to get...

...Damn!
Just NES manuals. The stalking continues... |
