Not very often did
you see the Famicom in the West during the 1980s.
That was a time when the NES reined and interest in
any other gaming system, even if related, was almost
nil. But in this screenshot from Adventure Island,
we see that the developers of games sometimes
couldn't resist honoring the Famicom in their games.

You typically find
the Famicom controller in the same stage as a boss,
and when you collect it, you get 1,000 points! The
Famicom controller might not be as magical a find as
a Hudson Soft honeybee, but hey, at least it's
there.
