One of the more elusive
pirates out there is Golden Axe. That game,
originally released in 8-bit for another system, was
thought to have been ported for the Famicom. So far,
the only Golden Axes found are mere hacks.
The particular cartridge below is a main character
hack of The Lord of King.
That's some great label art.
This cartridge comes from Thailand, and was
purchased for about $10. Golden Axe
cartridges similar to this one have sold for about
$5 on eBay.
