Master Fighter VI -- officially titled
Master Fighter VI' -- is not a whole lot
different from all the Street Fighters and
Master Fighters that precede it. One difference
from previous releases is that Master Fighter VI
makes an effort at extending the length of the
1-player mode. It does this by not only including
more of the original Street Fighter
characters, but also by having you fight the same
characters a second time, only with each challenger
having a different name and clothes. In the case of
Blanka, who becomes Animal, he is made totally neon
green the second time around.

The last Master Fighter?
Master Fighter VI is developed by Yoko
Soft, not necessarily from scratch but more likely
building on the company's other games in the
Master Fighter series. With Master Fighter VI,
Yoko likely believed it had finally mastered the
game, inputting everything it could to be truly
enjoyable, including points, a time clock,
continues, and an ending that reads:
"Congratulation".

The title screen gives you three difficulty options.

All the fighters are repeated once.

Vega fights himself...Houbot?

Sagat and Guile battle in front of a "Yoko" jet plane.

A humble ending to your travels across the globe.
Among my favorite name changes for the second
fight with the same character is E. Honda, who
becomes Daiwoo. Auto rivalry, anyone? Obviously the
developers of some of these characters had cars on
their mind. Guile becomes Car upon the second fight
with him, and Balrog becomes Carlock. Another of my
favorites is Dhalism, who becomes Earsy. The name
isn't what gets me, it's the clothing. His clothing
in the second fight is neon pink, and with the
change in color to his necklace it's almost as if
he's wearing a pink bra -- drag queenish.

The front of the box.

The back of the box.
The back of the
box reads: "All of the fierce wrestlers in the
world assemble in here where is the place that every
wrestler long for.
There have the actual wrestlerly virtue, wrestlers
harden their bodies not only to break through the
most limit of stamina that the body can arouse but
also to compete with others to be a winner or a
loser on the platform of contest in the contries of
the world. The wrestlers harden stand each other by
giving challenge incessuatly, they don't care about
what result they would get even though they could be
head broken and bleeding. They combat with their
opponeuts in very fierce stunt for the wrestling
champion of the world. Let's fight!"
Because people are uninformed, they often don't
realize that Master Fighter is, in fact,
Street Fighter. So, it's possible to get
Master Fighter for about half the price of
Street Fighter. But when it comes to a boxed
pirate, like Master Fighter VI, it's likely
the game would sell for $40 or more.
