That little
gold and white thing
is a trinket -- the same trinket that's on Mewoth's
head in Pokemon. Ikki has to collect eight of these
in every stage to move on to the next one.
BAMBOO
STAFF
This is a staff
made from bamboo that is found lying on the ground.
It makes Ikki go into a hitting frenzy. He doesn't
stop until the staff "runs out". It's a lot easier
to kill villains when Ikki has it, but it doesn't
quite make him invincible.
SPIRIT
STATUE
This spirit
statue, which looks like the statue of Jizo in Super
Mario Bros. 3, does nothing. Honestly. Ikki can find
it and touch it, but it does nothing.
TURNIP
The turnip (or
rutabaga for the American fans) will make Ikki move
faster -- a lot faster. The downside is it runs out in roughly 10
seconds and then Ikki returns to normal speed.
(Don't turnips appear in another Super Mario game!?)
SCROLL
This scroll gives
Ikki an extra life when it's obtained. When Ikki
gets it a "ting" sounds is made.
LEAF
The
leaf duplicates Ikki, making it appear as though
there are two of him. The ninjas attack the
illusionary image, but not the real Ikki. (A leaf,
eh?)
