I'd say nine times out of ten, gamers who have
played Yie Ar Kung-Fu do so on a
multi-cartridge. It's a common pirate. Yie Ar
Kung-Fu, which is pronounced "YEE ER KUNG FOO,"
means "One, Two Kung Fu." Others ways to play it are
on Game Boy Advance in a game called Arcade
Advance or perhaps by tracking down the actual
arcade machine itself from way back.
Yie Ar Kung-Fu (also known as Kekkyoku
Nankyoku Daibouken) was the first game Konami
released for the Famicom in April 1985. It was also
the trigger for what became a popular home video
game genre: the fighter.
In Yie Ar Kung- Fu, you take control of Lee,
the pink-panted, shirtless wonder boy, who battles
his way through five fighters, each with a different
style of attack. Each time you defeat your final
opponent, you fight each of them again in a more
difficult setting.

You are Lee (maybe a play on Bruce Lee...just
speculation), a dude with blue shoes who perhaps is
out to become the martial arts world champion. Early
on you'll learn Lee's basic moves, involving punches
and kicks. Lee cannot throw stars, use a bo, chain,
nor can he shoot fireballs. He's your average Little
Mac underdog, who's going to beat everyone in his
path to become the greatest!
