Just letting you know that I've found a cheapish belt that fits perfectly for the FDS. It's actually for a Sinclair Spectrum. This gentleman is from Ireland and sells them in packs of 5 for what comes to $14 shipped to the US. PM me if you want his link, or really if you just need one , let me know and I could sell you one of mine for $3 out the door.
I could be interested, but I would need to know more about quality, and that the size is really identical to the ones I use currently (or calibration may be off).
Anyway... here is the Link to the belts. They work very well; last 3 FDS belts i replaced, 2 needed zero calibration after installing one of these.

I have tried them, it went okay at first, but then I had some problems. It may or may not have been caused by the belt. I described the problem here: http://www.famicomworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=7721.msg113201#msg113201 (the part that starts with "A funny thing")
I will try with a new system soon. I think it should work okay next time.
It is a bit larger and slightly thinner than tototek, but maybe belt size doesn't really matter that much ?
Thanks for the link, I was looking for a belt that fits well. Recently I bought a completly new FDS system, that is never been used and the beld is just dissolved over time and became like a stucky gum.... So I needed a belt replacement and bought one of ebay. After replacement my FDS didn't read any disks. The head just go up and down and I have a wait screen but nothing happened. So after some internet reading I found out I need an original belt or one that is fitting properly... I hope this one works a I can enjoy my FDS games!
Yes it seems to be working well with the system I did this evening, as I suspected it would.
Tototek.com sells cheap belts for the FDS that should work fine.

These worked fine for me, but he has raised the price a little.
I always wonder how long a belt lasts?
I tell my customers it will last 10 years. Maybe some belts last longer, or maybe they don't last 10 years. How do I know...
