Hey guys. I'm using FireFox 3.5.8, and awhile back I tried installing some weird program (which turned out to not work thanks to an incompatibility with 64-bit. ::)) and when I was installing it, it had me install this weird Russian toolbar for FireFox, which I immediately uninstalled, but now whenever I get a 404 from a website, I'm redirected to http://www.yandex.ru/ with a search of the URL I clicked on. I dunno if that makes much sense, so here's an example. If I type random letters into my URL bar up there, and hit enter, it takes me to this: http://yandex.ru/yandsearch?clid=123045&text=asdiofjsdvfioj&lr=84
Anyone know how to delete these? They're really starting to get on my nerves.
That happens to me, too. But I get redirected to MSN and sometimes Google. Don't know how to fix the issue, though.
Try this:
http://www.technipages.com/firefox-change-address-bar-search-provider.html (http://www.technipages.com/firefox-change-address-bar-search-provider.html)
Worked. I just erased what was in there, which was in fact the strange Russian search engine. Thanks!
