How about some hardware pr0n? SHOW THE GUTS!
I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy

Smash Ping Pong.  I have heard time and again that this exists on cartridge format.  My question though, is has anyone seen an actual cart of this FDS game ported to Famicom cartridge format?

Tonight I was doing some cleaning / sorting in the game room, and was going through some games and preparing to sell a few extras.  I found that I actually had this game on an 11 in 1 cartridge (circa late 90s, I would guess) and wonder if anyone can confirm it made it to single cart format.

Just an update on this:  My father came to visit me this evening and so I managed to drag him to visit my buddy, since I had received a message from him that he had some carts to sell me.

So I bought the carts and also a Japanese Famicom machine (no controllers though), and one of the carts was Gun.Smoke.

Took it home tonight and cleaned it, just tested it out, it's the FDS port, the story text is in Japanese and not English.  So we can confirm that a FDS port of this game exists, 100%.  Now I just want to know if a port of the NES version of the game also exists or not.

Great notes. Thanks for the reply good friend. So here is my personal opinion. I'm a firm believer that these games as listed; gum.smoke, karate champ, section z, and legendary wings have never been ported to pirate carts. There are just the Nes versions on a pirate famicom cart. Now I'd like to 100% confirm that both the American and FDS ports of certain carts have went  through my hands. I've seen green berat and rush n attack,  double dribble and exciting basket ball, jackel and akai yousai. These carts  can look identical but you have to pop them in to find out if it's the  American version or an fds port.

That's really great news, congrats and thanks for sharing - can we see a snap?  Are you planning on keeping it or open to a juicy trade?

I actually have a port of the NES version on a multicart from the era - so I would like to safely assume it exists stand alone even if I don't have one myself.

I sold some other multis but saved this one especially as I'm quite a fan of Gunsmoke.

I have the NES version of Gun Smoke on a Famicom pirate cart. :D
It's credited to NTDEC in the copyrights screen, but other than that, it plays just like the original NES version.

Here's the photo of the cart, and the title screen:

There also exists a version, where enemies pop out at random on the screen, which is usually met on old 1994 Super HIK multicarts. ;)

And I think under this label, there could also be the regular Gun Smoke. At least, from what I've seen on some auctions. :)

On topic: here's what I have from FDS conversions.

*Arumana no Kiseki (Whirlwind Manu conversion)
*Bubble Bobble (Kaiser hacked version)
*Super Mario Bros. 2 included on 4-in-1 Pascar multicart with physical switches
*Smash Table Tennis included on 11-in-1 Ball Series

Just confirmed (by me), I now own both English and FDS versions of Gun.Smoke on cart.  Like many of the games, this one received both versions on cart.

Congrats!!  Other than language, are there many differences between the two?

Okay, here are mine:

The multicart has Smash Ping Pong on it.  It is rumored to exist as a cart only, well from my understanding, but I have never seen it thus far.

Also a game like Section Z, it wouldn't surprise me if a Japanese version exists, same with Japanese Jackal.  So far, I've only found English versions of these two though, but then again, I eventually did find a FDS version of Gun.Smoke, as well as an English version, so I think it is a possibility.

Very nice!  Out of all those I like the Dracula 2 best.

I think I only had Bubble Bobble - I sold that one to Chowder for cheap, perhaps it was the NES version?  Who knows!

Me, me, I do!  Well, maybe :)

The title screen is hacked to remove all copyright info, that would have been an easy way of telling because the title screens are different:

I would say it's the FDS version though - the red emphasis bits seem to be on, giving everything a pinkish hue.  Didn't show very well in pics, so here are the rest.

Great game, I love Bubble Bobble.
