I've seen these and they look  :o

So my question is how could I make a DC shell look like one of those? Could I use a spray matte or would it have to be a different method?

Potentially, but unless you are good with paint (i.e. professional) it can look ass.  Zoki 64 does amazing paint jobs but I heard is expensive.

I once took out the buttons, analogue sticks (+ shoulder buttons) of an NGC controller, sprayed it black glossy (not all) and the end result just wasn't what I was hoping for. It looked messy but it was sold (for £17).

I think I have some pics of it somewhere... Just found one.

I am sorry - I can't see much at all from that pic :)

My point was just you need to get a professional painter to make it look that special.

Man, I really wish I could get this one:

Yeah the lighting isn't very good but I can tell you that that spray-job was average and didn't satisfy me at all which is why I've not dared to paint a console/controller again.

I'd love to know how to do it properly, though.
