Maybe Selling: Famicom with nesRGB mod, various games

My only worry now is that if I sell this Famicom I won't be able to find another NESRGB kit for my other system for a long time. If I can't get one by that time, I may have to revert the Famicom to normal and sell it as a normal AV modded deal, and keep the NESRGB kit. Then, the real valuable things are the FDS set, and the Sunsoft titles.

What's the other system?  Wouldn't it be better to sell the other system and keep this then?  I agree RGB kits are difficult to grab.

The other system is an american NES. I love the Famicom, but I dislike both the hard-wired short cords and substantial system modification (so I do not plan on installing controller ports).

Normally people who can afford an RGB console should be able to afford a copy of gimmick

I'll have to think this over. Not sure of the best way to handle it, but if I can't get RGB then I'm hanging on to the Famicom for sure.

EDIT: Maybe I will build a breakout box for P1/P2 NES controllers using the front expansion port. That may be an option. I will still have a lot of games to sell.

You can buy the nesRGB kits... They're not that elusive are they? I bought one last month.

I'd definitely love that Gimmick! cart, but unfortunately I'm broke at the moment. You'll definitely make some good money off of that.

The system and Rolling Thunder are pending partial trade. The FDS collection and other games will still be available.

Have you received my private message by the way?

(I guess i'm not the person you said that is pending trade with you as I didn't mention Rolling Thunder in my PM)

Do you still have the Gimmick cart?

Would you consider doing these by commission?  There's be a lot of interest I'm sure.  You'd be saving all those people from Drakon's villainy as well.

Took me a while to get back to this thread, but here we are!

A bunch of things have been crossed out as spoken for. No deals are through until I'm home and such, but they are as good as gone.

As for doing more Famicoms on commission, I'm open to the idea, but I'm not the greatest at cutting holes in cases and such, so sometimes it's pretty hit or miss. I did a decent job this time but I'd feel really bad if I damaged a nice case for someone.

What I am going to do pretty soon is make a drop-in PCB to fit in the back of the Famicom that can handle things like the power supply, video amplification for normal Famicoms, and have good mounting points for normal AV connections, as well as S-video and RGB (likely with a breakout since there is no room for VGA on the Famicom). That would remove the need for a lot of the nasty glue work one normally has to do.

I still have the Gimmick cart.
