I'm going to China in December, for work but after that's done I have the weekend in Beijing. Of course for my trip to Japan I have all sorts of game-related things on my agenda
but I don't know as much about China's game culture so to speak.. I'm guessing pirate carts are plentiful there?

Anyway one curiosity I want to try and get ahold of is the Nintendo iQue, which was basically a Nintendo 64 in a controller, plug and play like those you buy at toys r us but with a 64MB
memory card you go to a kiosk thing and buy-download games on, kind of like the Disk System.

Does anyone know anything about the iQue? Can more than one game be on it? and how do I pronounce iQue :P iQue like spanish for what, or iQue like a snooker cue, maybe
they were going for a pun on IQ...

Yeah, watch out for pirate famicom carts.
But I think the iQue is still sold? iQue is Nintendo's moniker for all video game sales in China, but AFAIK the original N64 iQue is still sold.

Lum

Original iQue does one thing, special Chinese localized 1st party N64 games. Exclusive in that the versions can't be played on an N64.
Like the iQue DS or GBA it never had 3rd party support.

The greater iQue brand has been in a rut for some two years.
iQue 3DS XL launched late 2012, but has zero physical games (not counting backwards compatibility or any Hong Kong and Taiwan titles that run).

iQue means "And so?" so "Nintendo and iQue" would end up "Nintendo and so?. lol

I'd love to go to a place that still sells pirated cartridges because I'd buy a good chunk of them if they interested me but it's hard to acquire them in where I am now (UK, Lon).

Is there a shop I could visit and see them?

L___E___T

I've never seen pirate carts in a shop ever.  Not even in Hong Kong or China.
