Sorry for a newbie question!

I'm in the UK and I currently have a late model CRT that my AV Famicom works just fine on, but I will be moving to a new flat soon and there just isn't space for me to take it with me. By amazing coincidence, my dad has decided to upgrade his TV (apparently now he needs a Smart one now) so he has a cheap flat screen going spare. It's only a year or so old and it's made by Finlux, which I think is basically the same kind of thing as the supermarket TV brands. My question is, is my AV Famicom likely to work with it? I've read in places that nearly all modern TVs will work with 50 and 60hz but I think I'm still a bit confused my the whole thing. It was basically dumb luck that my old TV happened to work  :-[
Any advice would be really helpful! In an ideal world I'd just take my Famicom over and try it out but he is a good few hours drive away  :P

It should work, but if you want to be sure just post model number of the TV here.

Thanks for the reply! I'm afraid I don't know the model number but I'll ask my Dad next time we speak. It's a 40" model but I can't imagine that's any help at all!

I should work indeed. never had a problem with my AV famicom on different flat screen tv's.. Even the older flatscreens/plasmas
I always downshift near a hybrid, so they can hear me hurt the environment...

I found out the model number is 40F8073-T (actually turns out that it is a smart TV, my dad just doesn't like the features  ??? ). I did some googling and I couldn't actually find out if it was compatible but I think I'll just bite the bullet and grab it anyway. If it doesn't work then I'll find another way to play the famicom after I've moved I guess. Thanks for the replies guys  ;D

Just had a look at the manual and it does support ntsc 60hz.

Oh brilliant! Thanks, I must have missed that somehow  ;D
