Mario Castlevania and Mario Zelda

I posted this on NA, but thought I would post it here too for the curious.

I finally decided to dig a couple of obscure Famicom disks out and write about them, namely Mario Castlevania and Mario Zelda:

These games are just simple hacks, but imo pretty noteworthy, since they were made and sold back in the late 1980s or early 1990s, before hacking games became an everyday practice.

Well people used to copy these disks all the time.  Maybe copiers were quite common place, I just haven't had much luck finding them for Famicom-era stuff.  On a side note, I always find SNES / SFC copiers, but usually pass them up, since they are clunky, have little demand, etc.

I bet copiers were somehow popular at the time, since there are even FDS copies of games like SMB3 and Tetris.

Wow. I really want to know what's on the "Aladdin Equivalent" disk. My guess is that it's Doki Doki Panic with characters from Konami Wai Wai World hacked into it, but who knows what that means with the name!
