Hello everyone,

I've recently went through a major accomplishment in terms of rpgs. I was simultaneously playing through Mother 3 (GBM) and Chronotrigger (Super Famicom). I beat both and have decided Mother 3 to be a better game. Anyway onto my thoughts

Mother 3:

Great use of color blending.
Healthy mix of varied music (250 sound tracks) + music player built into game
Run through enemies when level is far greater than opponent
Interesting narrative with many twisits and turns that compel you to keep playing
HUMOR- riddled in every crevice
Diverse character roster
30+ hour game on portable system with little to no grinding
Locales
Feel for characters (lots of loss in this story)
typical things such as save points and healing areas are always remodeled to fit the the area around them.

All in all, this is the best rpg I have ever played. It is unrivaled in my opinion and amuses me that it was made on a portable system where games tend to be short and go unnoticed. the 16 bit graphics harpen back to another time in video gaming history, and this pays tribute to it perfectly. My thoughts are you must play this game!

- Collecting should be about owning the games as much as playing them!

Thanks for this little write up, I really need to buckle down and make some time to play this since I like many enjoyed Earthbound quite a bit

I played usually for an hour or less each day. Took awhile but well worth it!
