I just saw this picture for the first time today.  Anyone know what the story is behind this one?

It seems to be a (well-made) clone. Here's another picture showing its controllers, though I could only find it in thumbnail size...

I know some pirate outfit had made Nintendo (NES) games with the Konami brand, so maybe this is related to them?

Possibly, though I was unaware of that. Sounds interesting,  have any pics of their stuff?

Hm, any chance they might have relation to SuperVision? That box (and cart) strikes me as similar to certain SuperVision NES games I've seen, and I love it. How the art is just a mishmash of random, completely unrelated (both to each other, and to the game featured on the cart) franchises.

It could be related to Supervision, or to Spica.  These companies all claimed their games were made in Japan (which is not true) and all three also released their games around Indonesia area.

You've never played the classic FC game with Batman, Wataru Isukabe, a samurai, and, uh, female Contra? It's super real.
Favorites: Castlevania, Metroid, Namco 18

That kiddy shit? Nah. I was too busy playing Bill and Retarded Goku vs. King Kong and the Dust Bunnies. Y'know, a man's game.

Would love to have that original art framed up on the wall.  8)

Something like that I would also love.  That sort of thing would look perfect in a game room.

I just wrote an article with something very interesting at the bottom:

Possibly it relates to this topic, who knows.

Oh I didn't find the clone, that pic was just the one I had posted earlier (and stolen from elsewhere).

I did find a bootleg Famicom cart of Tetsuwan Atom, which seems to be made with official Konami parts though.
