It would be amazing if they could put Kira Kira star up for sale on a cart!  I would order it immediately!

I want to preorder this; which of those sites would be most recommended?

I can't speak for Play-Asia since I've never ordered from them, but Amiami is a site I've been ordering from for years, and I can't recommend them enough.

Do keep in mind that they're located in Japan, and their prices are in Yen. Also, you won't know the exact shipping fee until the item is released. They offer SAL, registered SAL, Air Small Packet, and EMS.

Here's a link to their Frequently Asked Questions; http://www.amiami.com/top/page/t/faq.html

and one on payments and shipping http://www.amiami.com/top/page/t/faq2.html

I've used play-asia for many years without any issue.  Fast and reliable every time for me.

I love how this cart and KKSN use the same engine, "game"- and sound-wise. NSD.lib seems to be pretty sturdy for real production works.

Makes sense that they reuse some of their old code. I looked into using NSD.lib too as a sound engine, and it seems great with MML and all, but it seemed to me you are forced to program in C (CC65) in order to use it, while I like to stick to assembly. Also I couldn't find any info on PAL optimization so I gave it up.

Edit: Just checked it again and it does have some assembly sample programs (using CA65 assembler syntax).

I can vouch for Play Asia. I have used them on several occasions. Super excited for this release!
- Collecting should be about owning the games as much as playing them!
