I've been having trouble getting this crappy little adapter to work with my copy of Castlevania 3, not Akumajou Densetsu, just the plain old North American release. Every other game I've tried so far, tons of stuff like Castlevania 1, Zelda, Contra, all these work. Except this one. However, it works perfectly fine on my region free PAL NES frontloader, so I guess it's a problem with the adapter.

This might be slightly less related to the Famicom than usual, but can anyone shed some light on precisely the issue? Or, suggest an adapter that'll actually work, that'd be nice too, after a bit of a look around I can't find anything online or on the site pertaining to my issue, so I figured I'd just ask.

Thanks, guys.

NES Castlevania 3 is MMC5 which uses pin 57 and 58, and these are usually bridged or grounded on pin adapters.

Here's some info about it:

If you mod it, you might as well enable expansion audio as well, as those pins are also usually bridged or grounded on pin adapters.
