I never said I wanted to be an observant Jew . Basically Jewish culture is really cool, Israel is fascinating as well, but the actual religious beliefs are not all that appealing.

I've found that when most people say Communist, they really mean Socialist. Dork--are you more a Socialist or a Communist? 

Well, probably more of a Marxist, but no one who I know in real life knows what that is.   So I just say I'm a Communist so people don't ask questions.

Most people don't understand Marxism or it's subdivisions at all. Hell I've read "The Communist Manifesto" three times and I still get confused  .

You know what I found out? I was reading through the bible, possibly leviticus, and found that christians aren't supposed to eat pork either! oooooh but I love ribs It says we are unclean until sundown, and that we must wash our clothes... hmmm not a big deal

Exactly. I'm conservative-Republican with just a hint of liberal on some things. The corruption, I think, is free will. Communism would be perfect if we had no free will. Humans are unpredictable. So, we have a government that mostly compliments our unpredictable behavior.  Anyway, please don't take any of this the wrong way. I'm not trying to recruit you to become a republican, nor am I bashing your beliefs. The last thing I want to do is start a political war on the forum that's helped me so much

Those verses refer to the covenant between God and the Jews.  When Christ died, it symbolized a new covenant between God and man, nullifying the old covenant.  Therefore, Christians don't necessarily observe those laws.  Observant Jews, for obvious reasons, still do.

Phew, that was close. No one should have anything cut off of them without their consent, in fact It should be law. I wouldn't mind being a politician for insane things like circumcisions.
