So I got this crazy idea to teach English in Japan after I graduate from college. This wouldn't be for at least two years, so this is all curiosity right now. I have a few questions for all those living in Japan.

Would I be able to get by on a day to day basis with no knowledge of Japanese?

How is the Japanese public towards Americans?

Is Japanese culture something I would have a problem adapting to?

Where are the best game stores? lol

I'm sure I'll think of more.

I wanted to do that after college, too, but I wanted to go to Spain, Chile, or Prague.  Never did it, though. I have friends from college who did it for a few years, all of them had great experiences, but it didn't really pay enough to be anything other than an experience.  :P

Yeah I'm not doing it for the money. I've never been outside of North America, and want to experience other parts of the world before settling into a career and such. Also, I'm an education major and after teaching abroad I'd pretty much get a job anywhere.
