Atari 2600 (I'm not sure which were first, but these are the ones I remember most vividly from my childhood):
Journey Escape
Jungle Hunt
Combat (planes rule, tanks suck)
E.T. the Extra Terrestrial
Swordquest - Earthworld
Raiders of the Lost Ark (I seem to recall an Indiana Jones game, so this was probably it)

NES (I recall getting this for Christmas, so the first games we (my brother and I) got for it were):
SMB1/Duck Hunt
Guerrilla War
Jackal

PatMan33

I used to play Pac Man in the arcades when arcades still existed. I was really young then though.

Then we got a Nintendo and I encountered the usual suspects, Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda... you know. After that it was downhill, days spent playing Yoshi's Island and Mario Paint (If you couldn't tell, I love Mario Paint).

nurd

Heh, I like Mario Paint.

That fly thing in your avatar, I think is the boss in the swatter game?

UNRELATED, BUT have you seen the new McDonalds commercial with LineRider?

I hear it is coming to DS and Wii.

At the age of 2 I started playing video games. At that time the NES, GB, SNES all coexisted with one another in which case I got the best of all worlds growing up. The GB was my first game system. Here are a few that I call my firsts and favorites still today.

Super Mario Land
Final Fantasy Adventure
Castlevania: The Adventure
Baseball

Milon's Secret Castle

Excite Bike

Super Nintendo
Earthworm Jim
Star Fox
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Raiden Trad
Final Fight

FamicomFreak

The first ones I played were SMB1,2,3 Megaman 4, SMB8, TMNT pirate and original, contra,Super C, lots of multi carts, FF

Despite being born in '88, my parents wouldn't buy me Video Games until I was around 12.  I got my start on my brother's old Atari 2600.

Centipede
Frogger
Warlords

Those were the big ones.

still :D

Warlords

We used to play Warlords in college.  It's such a great game when you have 4 players.

MaxXimus

The very first game I ever played was Super Mario Bros. I remember that I used to just walk in to the first goomba every time. I later learned how to jump, and would fall in to the first hole every time, assuming I made it that far. Ah, the memories! :)

The first Super Nintendo games I played were Super Mario World and R-type.

133MHz

The first video game that I ever played was a computer version of Pacman sitting on my dad's lap at his office, in front of an amber screen monochrome monitor connected to a bigass mainframe or something. I was too young to have decent hand-eye coordination so my dad ended playing the whole thing for me ;D. I was maybe 3 years old at the time.

Then it was Combat on the Atari 2600 at a friend's house. Then he got a NES with SMB and Duck Hunt. My mom didn't want me to have any video games because she though they make people stupid (and she still does think that), so I did all my gaming at my friend's place.

Then when the SNES came out me & my dad were hooked, and with dad on my side I could have a chance to get my very own console, after endless begging to my mother my father was able to buy me a SNES, and that was MY first video game system ever. My dad used to rent/borrow lots of games (even SFC ones), but we had very few ones in our collection, part because they were expensive and also because my mother hated the idea of spending cash on 'stupid games'.

A year later my dad got a kickass PC (he's a graphic designer so it had all the cool features for the time). One word: Doom. From there I did all my gaming on the PC, when the N64 or PS1 came out I didn't get either because they looked like crap in comparison with PC games. Then with the emulator craze I was able to play all those games on my PC! I was a happy panda ;D.

Then the emulator thing grew old and I got a little more independence, so I started to get all the systems & games my mom didn't allow me to have back in the day. Thanks to |tsr's NES archive I got to know what a Famicom was, and I thought 'Pigs will fly before I could get my hands on some Famicom stuff'. And now I'm here ;D.

Damn, this turned out to be like the story of my life or something :P

I was born in 87, when I was a year old my dad won a NES in a golf tournament. I probably played it when I was like 3. The first game I ever played was Super Mario Brothers. We also had Excitebike, Duck Hunt, Hogan's Alley, and some more. I still have all of these games.
