I just got a bomb virus from FW

A bomb virus is a virus that triggers a window to open a certain amount of times until your computer crashes, i was on the mario on mega drive thread and i clicked the link that was the subject of the first post like right next to the username because i thought it was the auction link and i got it and had to shut down.

I got the Conflicker worm from a link to an imageshack pic about 6 months back on here. I don't remember specifics, but it was planet_haxxor's for sale thread. I had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall everything.

This is a problem with your browser, not the forums.

Are you using IE7 or IE8?  Have you run Windows Update recently?

I would recommend doing a malware scan using Spybot or MalwareBytes AntiMalware.  If you don't think you're infected with anything, then try these troubleshooting steps from Microsoft:

Disable Add-ons.  If the problem goes away, one of your add-ons is causing the problem:

Reset your IE7 settings.  This is kinda extreme as it wipes all your settings and plugins and stuff:
