I would have thought they are all manufactured in China and you have multiple distributors that choose their own packaging and colour spec etc. to order.

That sounds about right.

Last pic of this set-up before I switch to filing cabinets.

Shumi that's an impressive collection you've built up in the time you've been a member here - I remember way back when you got started, now the shelves are struggling with the weight!

I have to set up everything again and take a picture. My collection has changed quite a bit and is EXTREMELY unorganized (read: all over the place)

Very nice collections everyone. You guys put my humble collection to shame.

Thank you.  The boxed Famicom stuff goes back one row behind the stuff in front.  The loose stuff, two rows.  The shelves are struggling, but that's more a critique on the poor quality of the shelves than on the quantity of games.  ;)

Around the time that I joined, I working in Akihabara.  The job was incredibly stressful, and I'd hit the shops nearly every day after work to take my mind off the day.  The bulk of my FC collection came from that time.  After a day where I wanted to jump out the highest window, I'd "splurge" (but always within my hobby budget) on this or that.

A year later, I worked in Yokohama, at a job that wasn't so soul-crushing, but WAS near two pretty great second-hand stores.  Most of the non-FC stuff came from that magical time.

I've finally settled at a job that's nowhere near any used game stores of any note, so any future collection enhancements won't come so frequently.

These are some of my old games.

I have a lot of other video games too but I can only attach 4 files.

Here are some recent items:

I just want to send a mega thanks to Jay-Ray for the majority of this.  He helped me out to expand my collection with several rares, and he even through in the old Mario figure to boot.  This is some really neat stuff, and I really appreciate it :)  Now I just need to figure a way to get a copy of that Metal Slader Glory poster, so that I can hang it in my game room.

Nice!  Always good to see DQ goodies - I have a plushy version of that one as well - it's a present for my son when we have a place big enough got his own nursery / bedroom :)

So Famicom is a real lifesaver.  :redcart:  :-[
I'd never knew that :)
Hope you'll never need to take an extra life from your Famicom again  :bub:

Nice Irem carts and FC Modem.  :o

Here are some new pics of my game display.  Not really game room, as this is my living room, but just a display of some of the stuff.  I do have a small storage room that is my game room, I'll see if I have pics of it I can post too.

Game King collection, some special beer / alcohol bottles, and some Famicom carts.

The TV, and some random game displays.

Game displays.  You can see consoles sitting below, a small guitar (no this isn't a uke), and some carts up above.  Those carts aren't there permanently, just going through them at the moment, before they go back to their proper places.

Another game display.  Sachens and unlicensed Game Boy goodies.  Also you can see the Castlevania FDS to Cartridge port.

Another view of the same cabinet.

Rarities behind glass.  A square buttoned Famiocom, Taiwanese GBC, and other goodies.

And some prototypes.

Some of my favorite pieces, some boxed unlicensed Famicom games.

Sega sucks!  And a South African NES game.

The small game room:

Famicom carts in storage.

Controllers and magazines.

More books, games, etc.

Extremely jealous haha. Very cool piece right there! Were any games ever loaded on to it?
