Seems like there'll be a Sonic Generations Special Edition / Collector's Edition
If it's worth the money and better than the regular version, I may pre-order it because this is the best Sonic game in years!
In case it really costs around $90 then nope.

Unless it's a high quality and 15 to 20 centimetres Sonic toy and in a steelbook case then it may be worth the money, but less than $90, $60, please.

steelbooks are ten a penny though, they don't warrant any extra spend in my opinion. As far as I gather, it has DLC levels in/on the disc or similar.
I think there's even more than one.

I manage to buy Dragon Ball Raging Blast Steelbook for Xbox 360, because it came with a book, dlc code, music CD and the game disc itself (manual as always, too).

Okay about these pan cake case medium. Seriously think about it.
We went from leather and or wooden interior/extrior, with related parts to cardboard/plastic cases/boxes, and even the cd case standard. Then bootleggers started the whole slim case nonsese, Now they are releasing them in pancakes with ssssssssssooooooomeeee extra material.
You release a game, you buy the game. It is just two pieces of Aluminum alternative ( that is not even magnetic ), and my question is, in comparison to the all the love that is put into a childrens book casing, a steel book, hardcase or whatever is just pure cold. Now they are saying hey look, it is cool like a G5, outter casing.

I agree with you, I deal with mass-marketers of these all the time, some people love them but in my opinion they just look cheap and uninviting.
What I'd love to do is a special edition that comes in lovely nice folded paper/card box. Cheaper and so many more opportunities to impress the buyer.
Japan gave us origami and video games as we know them today, maybe they should talk to each other more

OMG I want this so much but they've priced way too high, I'd pay up to 40-50 GBP at max.

This is months late but God damn it, they could have released Sonic Generations for PSP too, because PSP just has those crappy Sonic Rivals games which suck really, I know there's the Sega Mega Drive Collection for PSP, but in terms of new-ity, SG would've been perfect.
Hell, 3DS in terms of graphics isn't much better than a PSP, so a port of the 3DS version to the PSP probably wouldn't be an issue for Sega.

Sonic 4 looks way better mr. I don't know how to resize images. The actually 2d graphics are much nicer to look at. The only thing that looks dumb in sonic 4 is the speed of sonics animation. "Special edition" releases of these games is silly.

Sonic 4 has graphics over gameplay, which is something that shouldn't happen with Sonic games, or any games in general because graphics aren't what truly makes a game good, it's the gameplay.

I agree with you. One of my favourite games is the original rival schools in the arcade. Rival schools has terrible graphics and awesome gameplay.

I said "rival schools" not "project justice". Graphically these games are very different.
