Can you recommend an online database?  Or do you just use Excel Sydrive etc.

fredj, my brother. can you do me a favor? when you get a chance, can you look through all of your JP GB and whichever have link-cable play, add them to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_multiplayer_Game_Boy_games (or tell me and i can do it).

we gotta complete the list! some of these games have amazingly fun multiplayer that nobody knows about!!!!!  :help:

You seemed to enjoy Cyraid so much that I had to try out the Japanese version. It's tough.. Finally beat the third world, now I'm in space...

haha! i never said i enjoyed it. i tried playing it this weekend 2p with a friend and we couldn't understand it at all. now i'm very curious about cyraid! you enjoy it?

www.1up.com/do/blogEntry?bId=8990189 <- cyraid writeup, it's cool

Oh, I thought you had so many copies because you loved it.

Actually I do enjoy it; I think the game boy is great for these kind of action/puzzle games. It is close to Donkey Kong, with the focus on both action and puzzle. You have to play the entire world of some 20 levels before there's a password. Most of the levels aren't too hard once you figure them out, but I've played one or two really difficult.

funny that you say that. because of your mention, i recommended cyraid to a friend who loves DK94. will be interesting to hear his thoughts.

just picked up 2 copies of enix's "dungeon land". hopefully it'll be good 2P

played a bunch of 2p games with a friend last night. some mini reviews:

tetris plus - 1p game seemed kuso (compared to tetris dx) but 2p seemed neat. not that fun to play cus i am just so much better at tetris (because i play tetris dx). nice graphics, SGB functionality.

nail n scale - a godlike game. the vs mode was better than my expectations. just... wow. buy and play this now.

trump boy 1 - it's bridge! i wanna learn bridge. he did not wanna learn bridge. cute cart.

popeye 2 - I'M BRUTUS  :o   this is a cool game, although it is a platformer.

mole mania - we couldn't figure out how to access the VS mode, unfortunately. still hype for it!

fortified zone - wow! very fun, cool game! survival co-op! try it 2P asap, folks. one of the best 2P gb games ever imo.

loopz - mind-altering music. the gameplay... i'm just not sure i like pipe dream gameplay.

chachamaru panic - kind of kuso, kind of interesting. the 2p is just the 1p and each player is on the opposite side of a piece of land.

dungeon land - kuso game with lots of waiting and one interesting idea

yoshi's cookie - holy shit. the VS songs A & B are some of the best GB music i've *ever* heard. not the most compelling gameplay ever, but very nice presentation.

mini putt - it's not a 2p game. but you know what i realized? (and this is scary for me). if i have 2x sgb and 2x tv, there are lots of games that could be fun to play with 2 copies simultaneously. my friend said that this was the most fun of the games we played, and it's not a 2p game! we still competed, and i won with less shots taken.

heiankyo alien - semi-kuso, but it has some very interesting ideas. the intro gfx & music are wild. for 2p, you have a choice between 'new' and 'old', with 'new' meaning players are not on same screen and it has the new GB gfx, and 'old' meaning both players are on the same screen and it has very, very basic old skool gfx. an interesting game but not very playable imo.

boomer's adventures in asmik world - this is a clone of heiankyo alien. and pure kuso. why asmik?

go! go! tank - kind of fun as an amusement, but it really seems kuso. although both my friend and i weren't sure, there could be more to it. it could be a godlike game. prob not tho.

serpent - what. the. fuck. is the deal with the controls? D-Pad left to turn one way, button A to turn the other? kuso.

kirby's star stacker - i have one JP cart and one US cart, and while we could get the vs game started, the screen didn't display for the JP cart. first incompatibility of this i've encountered, but i doubt the last.

ultima: runes of virtue (1) - wow! amazing! this really was like an MMO. and friendly fire is on, so that is interesting. a lot of fun, will explore further. hard to say which is more interesting between this and rolan's curse for multiplayer RPG/dungeon, but i'd have to give it to ultima i think.

zoop - absolutely one of my favorite gb games. while i won every time, i think we both had quite a bit of fun. we just zoned out and zooped.
