It would be pretty cool if we could incorporate member collections to our profiles where we could add games officially listed on FW's game list.
I don't know how difficult it would be to incorporate a feature where people could check a box next to the games in the search function to add them, but just an idea.
I for one would love to look at the collection list of other members. Kind of gives you a good idea of what, or how much they collect. Would also help out in the trading area of things.

It's been suggested before. It would be
a lot
of work.

How about just having the ability to have a single, largish sized "showoff my collection" pic attached to your profile in some way? You could but an icon under their avatar, or just have it linked from the profile page? Meh, just a thought, I know we can just post showoff pics in the appropriate thread anyway, but I think it would still be cool to be have one that is easy access and linked to the user.

It would be too much work to have a section or sub-section of the forum called "member collectio", where users create their own thread and place their images. That thread could then be linked from the profile...

Any member could make a thread under Famicom / Disk System or Other Gaming. It doesn't need any special functionality or board.

Why would it be too much work to create a sub-forum for collection where every member can open a thread for his/her collection? The majority of game forums has such a thing and it's no trouble at all. Little administration is required because there aren't many rules to stay on topic, other than in areas like "General Gaming" or the marketplace.

If you did do it - I'd add some guidelines for image hosters etc. Hate looking through collection threads with dead images

We have a pretty good database of Famicom games over at rfgeneration.com. Of course, it is a database site for all systems, but it's a nice (and FREE) place to track your collection. Member submissions are always highly encouraged there, especially when helping build our database library.

That's a good suggestion, it would enable people to link to their collection in their signature as well right?
