Cargo or freight shipping from Japan?

Anyone have any experience with this? Most companies want you to send them a mail and they will give an estimate. But what sort of prices can you expect?
For example, I was looking at japan luggage express, they ship both air and sea. Is it cheaper than japanpost?

Main difference is maximum size/weight. More paperwork. Cheaper option if sender and recepient is the same person(moving overseas). Most companies have english websites. If you need translator, manuel can give you rates for official documents translation.

I asked some shipping companies I googled up, lets see what they say. They sseem to speak English very well. Maybe there are others that only speak Japanese, I don't know about them.

Maybe need to ship a lot of weight at the same time to be worth it.

I think it's only worth it if you order by the pallet or even better container. That's a lot of stuff.

yea they told me that too, 1000kg for Sea, 100kg for Air. LOL. I don't have that much video games. It is possible to buy parts of a container but then you need to arrange that with someone here. I'll look into that next though I suspect it won't be cheap.

It's getting a hazzle to go to the post office. I don't have a car and dragging these packages home is getting embarrasing. Today will be third time this week.

This one is easy - any cargo company will do that. Just check category "moving overseas". There is simplified custom declaration, when sender and reciever are the same person.
