I'm playing Cave Noire (GB) at the moment. It's quite fun but sometimes it feels like all you're doing is just rolling a few dice and praying for a good outcome.

I had my first taste of Adventures of Lolo (GB) this morning. I bought a copy a few weeks ago, and it just came in the mail over the weekend. Then, I started playing through a few NES games, looking to see if I can make a breakthrough and beat one that's still on the Nintendo Age Challenge list. I tried Big Nose the Caveman, Thundercade, Silk Worm, and T & C II: Thrilla's Surfari. So far, no conquests.

Maybe I should give Lolo a chance some day. I tried the FDS version and I thought it was boring though. Or maybe it was Eggerland. They are similar, aren't they?

I played a bit of Parodius.. again.. (GB) http://japanspel.blogspot.se/2014/05/parodius-on-gb-revisited.html

Selling  Japanese games in Sweden since 2011 (as "japanspel").

Yeah, Eggerland and Lolo are the same series. I think the series is awesome, but it might not be for you.

I'm currently playing through Lode Runnder (NES) for the NA challenge.

The series was initially called Eggerland and was released for MSX, and then the second game came to FDS, but when the NES exclusive Adventures of Lolo was released they changed the name. This article explains the whole series pretty well http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/eggerland/eggerland.htm.

I definitely think you should at least give Adventures of Lolo a try if you like to solve puzzles. It's the easiest and one of the shortest game in the series (doesn't mean it doesn't gets hard though). It's good as an introduction to the series because the game naturally teaches you all the rules of Eggerland without tutorials and such and gradually gets harder.

I played around with a few NES games that still need to be beaten for the NA challenge: Thundercade, Silk Worm, Mighty Bomb Jack, and eventually Quattro Arcade. With the Quattro, I was particularly enjoying the Go Dizzy Go. It's definitely the gem on that cart, but CJ is a decent platformer too (even if it's a bit unpolished).

I've been continuing to work on several games for the NA NES Challenge. I've reached the second-to-last stage of Shockwave, and the second-to-last boss of Silk Worm, so I'm hoping I can knock those out soon.

Are you still leading the boards?  I think it's admirable you beating all these games.  I did it for my PS1 collection years back, took ages and that was only about two dozen games.

I have been playing Diddy Kong Racing the last few days or so. I always found it to be more fun than Mario Kart 64.

That was the first N64 game I played when they launched - I wasn't very good at flying the planes :D

I played a bit of Ninja Gaiden Shadow (GB), followed by Silk Worm and Go Dizzy Go (from Quattro Arcade) for NES.

@ LET

Yeah, I've actually been building my lead over the past month and a half. I've slowed down, but many of the players who were close to me in score have disappeared completely.

I collect SFC/N64 mainly. Some rare famicom stuff too. Also miscellaneous video game stuff.

I've beaten both Pikmin 1 and 2 completely. Where are you stuck?
