QuoteIs there any risk in accidentally having the switch the wrong way? I.e. mic controller using zapper-D4 or zapper using mic-D4?
Obviously it won't work, but can it cause damage?

I've flipped it back and forth while playing duck hunt and did not suffer any issues other than the Zapper not working while it was in MIC mode.

QuoteWhy didn't you file the back holes to fit the controller ports? That would have been more consistent with the look.

That would have been much harder to do, than filing a square for them to fit.

QuoteI love the controller port installation looks great how you did it.

Drilled some holes, filed them bigger and used a bunch of hot glue to keep them in place.

I saw that you used an NES extension wire and a player 2 Famicom controller to have an NES friendly mic controller. Would that work on an NES/clone sytem, or just the Famicom? I have a RetroN 3 and a Super Retro Trio, so I'd love to be able to use them, with a pin converter, since I need to replace my Twin Famicom power adapter. That, plus I'm the only person I know that has a Famicom. Everyone else I know that plays the old NES games has an actual NES system.

It would only work on this particular Famicom, because of the way D4 and the MIC input are handled via a toggle switch on the back of the this particular Famicom.
