Hi Guys,
I'm drawn into this famicom, it has an av mod, but, I'm unsure how this would work on a UK TV as It has some kind of ports added..
It just looks so clean http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261374858244?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Thank You.
Looks like standard audio + composite video cinches (somebody did the AV mod), will work anywhere.
But it's too expensive.
I'd say the price is about right, though you'll have import duties and shipping to pay on top of that, which pushes it a bit out of of course.
What worried me is that it looks like it may have been painted, with Tea 4 Two stickers applied. The seller says it's been cleaned, so it's been treated in one way or another to look that white.
Retrobrite maybe? I heard it brittles the plastic. Either way the price seems alright for the condition. Personally though id look for one that has a tenny bit of a milky yellowish tinged white to it. The cleanliness of that console looks a bit out of place in my opinion.
If you look close up by the main Famicom logo sticker plate, it looks like it was painted. Something not quite right though for sure. I also prefer when the cables aren't jutting out the side like that.

That is, it will work with all TVs that take NTSC.

you're right! nice observation. Yes they rarely look that white in the real world. Actually I don't know if they were that white when they were sold. Like the smile of a movie star, unnatural. But maybe that's what an American prefers. ;) Even has implants.
But seriously, if you want a famicom that looks better than new, it's a good price. :)

Bleach will do that but not Retrobrite.
If u want a white bright coloured famicom this thing looks about as nicely restored as ive ever seen.
If it was up to me though id pay 1/2 the cost and just buy a yellowing console which will work just as well.
More likely id buy an av famicom which would cost less after shipping actually.
