I've been collecting PSP games lately and I enjoy playing them but the problem is that I'd rather play them on a TV rather than the PSP itself, so is there any custom UMD-PSP TV box out there that I'm not aware of?
Perhaps I'm just stuck down to PSP with Remote Joy Lite or PPSSPP Emulator (haven't tried it yet).
The games feel like traditional console games and they're definitely worthy of being played by anyone!
I thought the later PSPs had a TV out that you could use? Otherwise the PS Vita can do that, hopefully we'll see a European version soon.
There is no mass produced "PSP TV" device. If it does exist, it was probably some $1000+ Ben Heck type custom job.
For the PSP, only the 2000 and 3000 model can output to the TV and of course you have to buy a special cord and it will kill your battery life, so you would need to be plugged in.
You might want to look in to the PS Vita TV though, as you can buy many PS One and PSP games and play them on the TV using a PS3 controller.
I have a PSP-3000 and yeah, the component-out works pretty well. When playing games you are stuck with a smaller screen, the UI is full screen but games are displayed in a smaller window. Not a huge problem in my opinion, but then, I connect the system to my monitor which is right in front of my nose.
PSP Go has video output as well, and you can connect a PS3 controller into one. That would make the system basically a console.
Just to add - there is a mass produced PSP TV device, a capture kit sent out to developers and publishers so that they can record PSP footage etc. Mass produced yes, but commercially available to the public, nay.

I was watching a review today of PS Vita TV but that unfortunately doesn't have a physical UMD disc loader so I guess I'll go with what Ghegs said and hack it (not going to rebuy the games I already own).

Hm, it's a shame that PSPgo doesn't have a UMD disc loader but seeing it plays the games on a TV and is compatible with a PS3's DualShock 3 controller that's definitely the best solution overall.
Such an odd reason to buy a PSPgo (the least model I like of the PSP series) but oh well, I'll buy it after I've bought the PSP games I've got on my list.

Yup, I'm sure I've seen some of those with a video out. Couldn't check online to confirm though, so forgive me if I'm incorrect.
They output vga if I remember correctly.
