If you clicked that link in the "Famicom / Disk System" board, congratulations, you've just opened a thread about Famicom and Disk System homebrew, reproduction, hacking, development, discovery, programming, and Famiclones. Here are some topics to discuss in this thread:
Fellow FW Forum user "doctorlai" has recently brought up the topic of 'BBGDOS', a Chinese Famiclone with an OS similar to 'MS-DOS 3.0'. This also relates to two more topics: the ENIO, and Chinese 'Pocket Monsters: Gold' NES port. I made a thread about the ENIO, a device for the NES that allows the Famicom Basic keyboard, and was going to have an ethernet port, but never did. A thread I found while post-digging asked if a data-transfer link cable could be developed for the Famicom's expansion port, to trade Pokémon in hacked ports of the game.
I want to know if Famicom OS's and Data-Transfer cables, and Famicom Ethernet can be successfully developed, and if hacked games can be developed that utilize these tools. I don't care too much if external resources, such as mod chips, and computers (such as the Raspberry Pi) need to be used, I just want to make this old, recurring dream, a reality. :redcart:
P.S.:
Sorry if these homebrew threads are getting old, annoying, or useless. I just want to try to discuss as much as possible. :D
