So, I've got a pretty decent collection of single player games, but I really want to be able to play Famicom with my friends. That said, what are some really good multi-player games? There are already a few I have in mind, such as Ganbare Goemon 2, Contra, Western Kids... are there any I'm missing? I don't want JUST action games, but maybe some good puzzle games as well. I kind of want to have a variety. I'll also keep a list on this first post for others who want to find some good multi-player games as well. Thanks!
Ganbare Goemon 2
Contra
Western Kids
Can't go wrong with the Nekketsu games, great for 2-4 multi-player.
There was a topic about this somewhere...
Crisis Force
Double Dragon II
Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, and the sequel.
Bubble Bobble
Salamander
Double Dragon games
Ice Hockey
I found two more threads with similar topics, but there was another one with lots of good suggestions that I couldn't find.

I have Bubble Bobble game but it has only 1 player option, is there really a 2 player version available?
I'm all about M.U.L.E. and for a Famicom only title - check out Wits! It's like a 4-player Tron Light cycle game, but super heroes and the ability to jump! It was fan translated some time ago. Shouldn't be hard to find.

2 players simultaneously was like the main selling point of the game (it's said the game was designed with couples in mind). The only version of Bubble Bobble that is 1 player only that I'm aware of is the Gameboy version (although that's a great version with a different story). The FDS and the NES versions both have 2 player option on the initial menu.
Do you have a pirate version? I don't see why hackers would remove such a feature though.
The last 2 player games I really enjoyed:
- Crisis Force
- Final Mission
- RodLand
- Son Son
- TMNT 2

Could it be the rare Bubble Bobble 2? That game is one player only. The regular (and more enjoyabble) Bubble Bobble has 2 players.
Bubble Bobble 2 has 2 player alternating turns, and so has Rainbow Island.
Armadillo
Battle City
TMNT games
Neketu Hero's story
Super Spike V'ball
Pro Wrestling
(not sure what the FC equivalent of these are)
Mario Bros.
Dr Mario!
Moero! Twinbee
has 3P :)
My favorites have already mostly been covered by I`ll put my votes in anyway:
Son Son
Dr. Mario
Tetris Flash
Battle City
Ice Climber
Ganbare Goemon (1 and 2 are both good)
Contra
Twin Bee
Tetris 2 + Bombliss and Don Doko Don.
The competition at Tetris 2 is the finest Tetris experience in the NES/Famicom world. I played so many matches of this one with my father that we became great rivals, sometimes even insulting each other! :fire: Oh my... great times!
Don Doko Don is a fantastic action puzzle, hard to the bone, but pretty more enjoyable in the 2 players co-op mode. One day I was sick and a friend of mine came to my home. He wanted to play some 2 player Famicom game with me so we chose Don Doko Don, which none of us have beaten yet. We played at least 30 hours straight, "stopping" just for pizza and beer. I highly recommend the experience. :gamer:
