Title: So fresh and so clean
Post by: pwnocchio on April 08, 2014, 12:36:26 pm
Hey all. I'm after a white Sega Saturn. Doesn't need to be in box, but I'd like it to have at least one white controller with it.

D-D-D-DEAL BREAKER!!!!:
PLEASE keep it as white as possible. I know these things yellow out, hard. So i'd love it if it was still white as snow.

If anyone has one for sale, or any of my Japanese resident buddies could find me one, I'd cherish it for all time :)

i just saw a minty ass one on ebay for 108 shipped. two white controllers, and in the box.

So I'd imagine paying about 80 or so for one no box with only one controller. if im wrong someone please tell me. Im WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY virgin to saturn. just love white consoles.

You can use stuff called retrobrite on yellowed white/grey plastics to restore them to their former glory. You can make your own too. It's basically a mix of hydrogen peroxide (those brown bottles near the rubbing alcohol) and oxyclean. You soak the plastic shell in this stuff and leave it in direct sunlight, or under a UV lamp if you're impatient.

for one white as snow i could imagine being well over $100 i see pretty poor condition ones sell for nearly $100 these days.
Realistically someone in Japan could hook u up im sure but postage is still huge as they weigh over 2kgs so would be ~$40 postage.

any chance u can link the minty one wanna see how clean u need it.
