So, I was led to believe that the original game had a map, but trying to verify this through google is ridiculous. I know that the US version for the NES had a map, but did the Famicom version?
Actually, did any of the Famicom (I-III) or super Famicom (IV-VI) games have anything other than the game, manual and generic paper inserts in them?
Rather than Googling, I went and checked some eBay auctions - the only Famicom FF with a map I saw was the Final Fantasy 1+2 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Final-Fantasy-I-II-Famicom-NES-Japan-import-COMPLETE-w-map-box-CIB-US-SELLER-/400638379628?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item5d47e8866c) release.
Actually, Final Fantasy 2 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/FINAL-FANTASY-2-Famicom-Japan-Shipping-free-/111332074344?pt=FR_Jeux_Vid%C3%A9o&hash=item19ebe8a368) looks to have a map of the world on the back of the box, which is pretty cool.
Yeah, I wasn't quite sure whether to trust that or not, esp as it was an unconfirmed suggestion that it had one. Just thought someone may have actually known rather than searching for it. Thanks, though. :-)
