Title: Translation for letter, SMB2?
Post by: fredJ on May 21, 2014, 07:04:42 am
Does anyone have, or could produce, a translation for this letter in the SMB2 manual (FDS)?

If you can make a high quality scan of it rather than just a photograph, I know somebody who might be able to translate it in full.

Yes please, you need to take a better photo or scan it so that ALL characters are fully visible. I can guess most of them but there are some I can't see very well.

That's much better. OK here it is:

Thank you for purchasing the "Super Mario Brothers 2" disk card.
For everyone supporting this game we have created another journey for Mario (a parallel world).
We think that these 8 new worlds filled with changes will satisfy those who are already used to play Super Mario.
In this story there are a Mario Game and a Luigi Game, and Mario and Luigi have differences in their natures.
In Luigi Game, Luigi will jump in a more rash manner than Mario.
You are free to choose which one player out of the two that you want to play as.
In this new journey a new character the "poisonous mushroom" will make it's appearance. When the poisonous
mushroom appears, please be careful and don't eat it. Well then, what kinds of dangers will stand in Mario's
and Luigi's path? ......please enjoy.

Nice, thanks.  :bub: :bub:

It wasn't quite what I had hoped... I thought it would mention the "super player" ending (no warps) , and the nightmare levels.... Maybe somewhere else in the manual.
