Hey everyone, I'm looking for the pirate Super Donkey Kong 2, the Famicom pirate of Donkey Kong Country 2 for SNES. If anyone has it, I'm willing to buy it or trade it for something else. I have a bunch of uncommon licensed games I'd be willing to part with in exchange. Thanks.
It's a good one. I hope you find it. It took me over six months to find mine once I started my quest. I got it in a lot with some other cool pirates. I think I ended up paying about $20 for the DK. :P
Wow, I didn't know something like that existed...
And now you made me curious... :o I'd be satisfied with a working rom for the beginning, though. ;D
Hmm.....I have the ROM. I wonder if it'd be possible to make an NES reproduction of it?
Many pirate games use custom mappers, which would be next to impossible to locate a cart and replace the ROMs with an EPROM of SDK2.
Ah. Well that shoots that idea to hell!
Actually, while I'm still interested, I put the rom on my psp and was playing it earlier today.....the game only has three levels! After that, you get a "the end" screen! Whats up with that?! I thought it would be the whole game!
Sounds about right. You gotta remember that they're pulling a 16-bit game into a 8-bit console. It ain't gonna be as expansive.
true, but even Super Mario World pirate had around 30 or so levels.
You'll notice that there's a lot of repeat sprites. I've noticed that with my Sonic the Hedgehog, most of the levels in each act or whatever look almost exactly the same. I guess they could've done that.
Donkey Kong Country 4 looks more promising...

But the 4... ::)

I just played that game the other day. I really like it more than Super Donkey Kong 2.
