Title: Question about Top Gun in-game music
Post by: dougal22 on June 20, 2014, 02:04:25 am
I have Top Gun (PAL NES Version) and there is no in-game music. I recall playing a USA NTSC version on an emulator and it had in-game music.

Famicom version just arrived for me but i'm still at work dammit, so cannot try it out.

Does the NTSC version have in-game music ?

It didn't have music during flight at all, but it may have had a tune playing when you refuel the jet. It also had music after you complete a level but thats it.

Yes same as the PAL version, has the music while refuelling the jet.

Just tried the NTSC-J version. It has in-game flight music, the same music as refuelling the jet. AWESOME!!  :) :)

You'll hear the flight music in the PAL and U.S. releases of Top Gun by letting the demo play. That always bugged me. Glad the Famicom version has the music playing in-game.

Strange, usually it's in attract mode where music doesn't play.
I wonder if it's a bug in the NES versions that there's no music.
