Title: Ninja games on multicarts
Post by: jbholio on May 27, 2007, 02:45:36 pm
Most of my multis have these weird Ninja games called Ninja I, II and III. Does anyone know the real name of these Ninja games.  Here are some screenshots:

Ninja I:

The first two look related, but the third one looks like something else.

I have these on my multicart also; I believe I saw one written as "Xinga" :p

I know Ninja I is made by Jaleco because on one of my multis the pirates didn't erase the copyright on the title screen.

I remember another, who you can play with two ninjas at the same time, and some enemies had a fish in their head or something, you throw shurikens or something. That game was great, here called as Ninja 3.
Someone remember the name of that game?

Ninja 2 is by Jaleco, it's Ninja Jajamaru-kun.  Ninja 1 is probably one of these other ones by Jaleco: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninja_Jajamaru-kun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninja_Jajamaru-kun)

The first is most definitely the first in the series of Jelco's Ninja Jajamaru-kun, and its title is also Ninja Jajamaru-kun.

I quote myself 'cause I want to know that Ninja game name.
You have two players, the red one and the green one, throws some stuff, you can have a stick too, and you must collect some coins who are in the entire level.
Have a music who is kinda annoying.
:(

Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for the SNES is the only way to play the first three, in my opinion. Its one of my most prized games.

Ugh, Ninja Gaiden Trilogy. :( Honestly, there are too many annoyances with the sound & music, as well as some glitches with the cutscenes, not to mention the fact that the sound test modes & the ending credits were removed, as well as the background scrolling effect on Ninja Gaiden 3, not to mention the lightning effects on Ninja Gaiden 2, I haven't even begun to mention the absence of the beautifully changing color palette of the HUBs of NG2 & 3.

Okay; I will stop making run-on sentences.

You should take a look at the reviews on Vimm's Lair (http://vimm.net/vault/SNES/display.php?data=N&search=No).

Yeah, NGT is not without its own problems that's for sure. But playing it with a SNES fighting joystick is a lot of fun.

I might came a little late, but that "Ninja I" game is "Ninja-Kun". The arcade version is called "Ninja Majou No Bouken".

The password feature is also great.

But man the Ninja Gaiden games are tough! I beat the original Ninja Gaiden when I was a kid, but I can't beat the boss at the snow stage these days. Maybe I've got rusty.

Beating the original Ninja Gaiden is quite a feat; I think I only beat it fairly once.

The first ninja gaiden I never beat I only got to that last boss.

Which phase? I remember getting there & not beating it.  It sucks getting that far & having to start over again. >:( I don't know if that was a glitch or not, but it did the same with Bloody Malth. >:(
