Title: Waterfalls and logs
Post by: Protoman on September 09, 2014, 11:32:47 am
You know in Super Mario Bros 2 there was a waterfall with logs you jump on? I've come across many games that ripped off that particular thing. Games like:

Vice Project Doom
King of Kings (Jesus and the Temple)
MegaMan X4
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Lion King
Inspector Gadget
Revenge of Shinobi
Megaman 8

Can you think of more? I might make a video on this incredibly important subject.

Logs in waterfalls in general? Or logs that fall down and respawn?

logs in waterfalls that either drop down or rise up that you have to jump on to progress

Not Spelunker. I posted an image with the post. Maybe it's not showing up?

It's Flintstone's Treasure of Sierra Madrock for SNES

I only see a "super famicom.org" picture, probably some kind of hotlink defense...

Here is the fruit of my research, a whopping 18 games. But I'm sure there are more out there...

Nice study. No waterfalls but it reminds me of Axe me Another (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lGbajupZpQ).

Fun video. Now do one of sidescrollers with quicksand that you have to jump in repeatedly to escape ;)
