Title: about Dreamcast GD-ROM

Are the GD-ROM PCB exchangeable from samsung to yamaha?. I'm currently fixing my dreamcast.. the other one doesn't have power to its driver motors. Need advice, thanks.
i would like to replace the XU937 board (from yamaha) to a XV779 (samsung) board.
