Hello! After many months working on it I finally finished my first video game.
It's another platformer that resembles old NES games.
The game is called "Tcheco no Castelo do Sarney" and can be downloaded for free on http://www.tcheco.com (just click on "faça o download digital gratis", over the blue stripe). For Windows only.
Hope you like it :)

Congrats, man! The trailers look great and I'm super excited about playing it. I'm getting a "setup error -f:/" when I try to install on Windows 7 though.
Very original art style. Jumping seems a bit delayed, but it's consistent so you get used to it.
Is there a continue code? :-[
Thank you very much for the feedback, guys!
I'm still trying to improve the game and solve all problems/bugs found out after the release.
There's no continue code - but there's a 30 life trick:
When Tcheco is falling from the sky press the following buttons on Xbox 360 gamepad (or keys on keyboard): BABABABY
This game looks cool! What was used to create it? Also, do you have plans on selling your game in the marketplace or something?

Thanks! Since I can't program the game was made with Scirra Construct Classic.
I'm planning to translate the (few) sentences in the game to English and release it for free on Steam.
Have you considered making an actual NES version? I would not only love to see that, but purchase a physical copy if you were to partner with retrousb.

I'd love to convert my game to the NES/Famicom - but I don't have knowledge for this. :(
"Tcheco" is now on Steam Greenlight. If you have a Steam account and want to see "Tcheco" there, please vote:

Any updates on this, Macbee? I noticed the game was greenlit! Congratulations! :)

Thank you very much! =D
I'm still creating new stages for the Steam version - but hopefully it will be done very soon. :)
The expanded version of "Tcheco" is finally done: http://store.steampowered.com/app/377600/
At least in Brazil it's the cheapest game on Steam. I'm very happy with the reviews (I've got an 8 on IGN Brazil!!) =D
Hey, that's great news! Congratulations on release!
And don't forget to add some trading cards and emoticons, just in order to make some $$$ from it. ;)
I saw that your game got many great reviews! So who is the Tcheco character? Did you also do all the art and music yourself?

Thank you! =D
There are Steam Cards on this game. People are buying the game for 99 cents and making more money selling the cards. =D

Tcheco is the protagonist of underground cartoons here in Brazil. I created him back in the 1990s.
All art is mine. The music was composed by Ozzed: http://ozzed.net/
Good news!
Talented programmer Lukasz Kur ("Wonderland Dizzy", "Famitale") is starting to convert Tcheco to the NES.
We're just in the beginning but so far development is going very well.
I'm very happy with the possibility of "Tcheco" coming to the NES because it's where this game really belongs.
These are photos of the first screens. Hope to have more news soon:

Hi, very cool that a NES version is on it´s way too! The screenshots do look excellent :o
Are you the guy behind the Super Mario Dreamworld hack? I had fun playing the first completed world a decade ago! And a Beach Boys-style remix of the Zelda II overworld theme ;D

And yes, I did (but never finished) SMDW back in 2001. =D
That's very cool. I hope to check out the NES version when it's completed. How are you planning to release it? I'd pay a few bucks for a download, provided that it works on my Everdrive.

The plan is to make both 60 and 72-pin carts (since both formats were equally important in Brazil).

I'll probably sell it only in cartridges, sorry.
