Title: Failed AV Mod Repair HELP NEEDED BADLY
Post by: MBombchu on January 17, 2015, 10:38:23 am
Hi guys,

I recently picked up a Famicom, and when i opened it up, it looked like someone tried to AV Mod it , but really bad.
So after resoldering pin 21 i got a picture, but cartridges wouldnt load. After searching over the boar, it looks like he
broke three data lines while cutting pin 21.

The one between 21 and 22,
and the two to the right of 21

Could ya please tell me where i have to connect them to (start and ending point and what line it is) ?
I d really need some help, as i cant see where they go to, course they all run under the ppu.

Thanks,

MBombchu

Its nearly impossible to help without havig the board in my hands. Try to post some pictures, or check all cut traces and try to repair them. How did you get image? RF?

Have you tried using a metal file inside the cartridge slot to scrape off corosion? Once your slot is all shiny again it should work. The grey screen isn't a bad sign, it means your system is working but dirty.
