first off,
i LOVE this game!
totally kung fu flick material,
on a mission from a local official or something,
kicking ass all over town.
you get these "wanted" or "target" portraits and you question everybody until you get pointers where to go,
(after talking to the right guy you can go in a street you couldn't before)
and between the walking and talking there are brawler stages.
the backdrops and scenery are really beautyful and atmospheric, really sets the mood well.
but, i am stuck again...
people you've talked to disappear after their part is played out,
so now i am in front of a guy with a boat,
the town is deserted, nobody left to beat up or talk to,
and he won't talk to me or let me on the boat...
has anyone played this and have any pointers?
any help would be very welcome, i really want to finish this game.

I have this game too, though I haven't really played it much. Based on your suggestion, I'll pop it in sometime this week (maybe even tonight if I don't go out for late night snack with my friend). I'll let you know what progress (if any) that I can make, and maybe we can solve this together ;)

it takes about 15 minutes to get where i am stuck,
so you should see the guy with the boat soon enough.

man, if you can find another cart with that game i am very interested.
playing this on Pocketnes is not quite like the real thing.
