I removed the really worn out overlays from my Famicom but because they are made from aluminum so they easily warped.
But I was thinking about shipping my freshly sanded overlays to a sticker maker so they could scan the shape and dimensions to begin making completely custom decals as I'm sure many of us are tired of looking at badly plated aluminum warn down after 32 years.
What's everyone's thought on the idea?
I'm all for it - there are people that can print pretty good replicas as well.
I was thinking more fancy design, and who does that? I wouldn't want vinyl decals but rather paper ones cause they last a lot longer.
It would be nice to see a white red gold decal but with a similarity to those designed for the Twin Famicom. :)
Pretty good idea. I'm up for it since the worn out controllers sometimes annoy me and I want my collections and consoles as clean as possible. :D
Yes and so many otherwise wonderful looking Famicoms have terrible shape controllers. It's just a shame to look at.
