Hey Famicom World, I would like to inlist your votes in my poll as well. On the Cover Project there's been some debate over what spine art should decorate Famicom games. Should it be "Nintendo Family Computer" or should it be "Nintendo Famicom"?

please vote. The more votes the better. I personally think Famicom sounds better, but to each their own. Let's see what you guys think.
I'd do Nintendo Family Computer, as seen on the face of the console.
Yeah, Nintendo Family Computer has also a nice sound to it.
Yup, like in the commercials
ファミリコンピュータ
:P
Hmm, so even you guys are against me :D
Oh well, I guess I lose out here. Please vota anyway. Once the poll goes by a landslide to one direction (and at least 10 people have voted), the covers will be finalized.
We're not against you per se. ;)
I can't really decide:
We know the full name is "Family Computer" anyway, if someone doesn't it's not like it'll kill them unless they find a "Family Computer" for sale & pass on it. :P
We say "Famicom" all the time anyway, but "Family Computer" looks nice, too.
So, yeah, I'm undecided. :-\
officially, the system is family computer. thats what nintendo calls it
Yes, could you guys please vote? I want to proceed with the construction of the Project as soon as possible. I don't think you need to regester to vote, but if you do, it's real simple.

They did on the super famicom
There's the Intelligent Systems/Nintendo game for called Famicom Wars remember...also with GBA ports in Japan are known as the Famicom Mini Series, so Nintendo did use the term Famicom, but only in later years. When it first came out, it was the Family Computer, offically. But I just don't think that sounds good.
Ah, so Famicom Wars. I wonder if that was the first use of Famicom by Nintendo.
yes nintendo family computer!
Probably not the first time Famicom was seen since Famicom Wars came out around midlife of the system in 1988, but it was an offical first part Nintendo game that put Famicom right in the title.
considering we are talking about famicom and not super famicom, i dont think that matters. famicom wars is the only example ive found aside from famicom mini. famicom mini was years later and not actually a real famicom product, more like a gba product. if you're trying to make the boxes look official it should be family computer, end of story

But they're not official. :P
the point is to make the boxes look good, if it looks offical or not is opinional.

I learned a new word! (http://www.famicomworld.com/forum/Themes/famicomworld/images/post/cheesy.gif)
Don't forget about the Famicom Detective Club series on the FDS. I've been dying to play that...there should be some english translations out there...
and then there's Famicom Jump! as well.
