Anybody thinking of buying this game? I know it's expensive and all, but it seems like it's so quirky...

Rockboard isn't a real rockman game, its a board game that's simply delivered through the Famicom. I've played a partically translated rom, and the game just doesn't do it for me. I couldn't imagine paying more than $5 for it, let alone the big bucks it sellers for on ebay. I recommend against it.

Partially translated? Where'd you find the copy?

You'll have to track down the Rockboard ROM yourself, but the translation ips patch can be found here:

a good patching program I use is lunar ips. It does a real great job.
