Title: FDSStick issue
Post by: BaconBitsKing on August 21, 2015, 01:59:07 pm
[Problem fixed]

I got my FDSstick in the mail today and it works great. But when I try to open FDS.exe (the command prompt program) it just flashes for half a second and vanishes. All I'm trying to do is remove a ROM. I don't know if this is something I should be posting on a different forum (because it might be more of a PC issue) or it is actually something with the FDSstick. Trying to run it through CMD also won't work.

EDIT: I figured it out. It turns out I was entering it into CMD completely incorrectly.

You're supposed to run it through the command prompt.  A console program that's expecting parameters will flash up that window, then close straight away, that's normal.

What happens when you run it through the command prompt (CMD)?  Do you get any output at all?

I was entering it incorrectly and getting an error message. I have it fixed now after a simple Google search.

Excellent, well done.  Enjoy the FDSStick, it's great :)
