Title: High-quality scans of Master Takahashi's Adventure Island IV box
Post by: northbydefault on August 28, 2015, 11:32:32 pm
For some reason, I've only ever seen 3 or 4 scans on the web for AI IV's box. All of the images are really low-quality and suffer from pretty bad artifacting.
Now that I own the game though, I decided to take it upon myself to create some better images for other folk's enjoyment and use. Only problem is that the box wasn't treated very nicely; it smelled of smoke and the nicotine stains are very prominent. I hope someone who is skilled and photoshop can clean it up a bit now that there's a larger template to work with. I have the entire box scanned on both sides, but I can share that at a later date ;)

Cheers!

I'll help you clean it up if you can send me the full scan - hit me up with a PM :)

Nice scan!
Maybe you should consider descreening to get rid of the moirĂ© effect  ;D

I think you can solve it by scanning at a higher or lower DPI and setting the size larger.

slightly better versions scanned at 300 dpi...first one was scanned at 25 (oops). still getting the moiré effect though :/

Hey, I know this is quite an old topic, but I'm really interested in famicom box art ;D
Those are actually the best Adventure Island 4 box shoots I've seen, but I'd be interested in the full scan if possible. I'll do and share a full restoration as well, I've some experience and can do things like this:
