Title: Reccomended homebrew for my N8?
Post by: XC-3730C on August 31, 2015, 05:47:09 pm
I have an N8 (Famicom version), and wanted to try some homebrew. Anyone have some suggestions? I prefer completed games, and I mostly play platformers, shooters, and puzzle/strategy games (games like Adventures of Lolo)

Judging by your avatar I'm guessing you'd enjoy Streemerz (http://www.fauxgame.com/).

Everybody should enjoy it, it's pretty awesome.

Great suggestions - Played them all today!

Perhaps we can make an official thread for suggested homebrew ?

Let's make this that very thread -  8)

Adding a couple more by the maker of Zooming Secretary (one of my favourites):

- Lawnmower:  http://www.romhacking.net/homebrew/42/

- LAN Master:  http://www.romhacking.net/homebrew/2/

- Driar http://www.romhacking.net/homebrew/58/ - Good physics and not horrible graphics.

- Thwaite http://www.romhacking.net/homebrew/10/ - Missile Command clone that supports SNES mouse, if you can hook it up to your Famicom.

Eat Fish is quite fun (I like the idea at least). Unfinished but playable. Can be found here: http://www.nesworld.com/article.php?system=nes&data=neshomebrew.

Utaco is a pretty cool music game.
